Van Doggenaar Baarslag Foundation
Since December 2019 iSTEPup collaborates with the Van Doggenaar Baarslag Foundation; a foundation for people from developing countries, who wants to become a nurse or medical professional. The Van Doggenaar Baarslag Foundation will sponsor some of our students for the entire study period or the remaining study period by means of an annual donation.
The Van Doggenaar Baarslag Foundation guarantees full sponsorship of these students, or sponsorship of the remaining study costs when the fundraising of a student’s buddy is not sufficient for the full study costs.
Johanna Donk–Grote Foundation
The Johanna Donk–Grote Foundation is a foundation that supports small projects aimed at improving living conditions including healthcare and poverty, and projects contributing to the future chances of children by offering education.
The Johanna Donk–Grote Foundation has supported iSTEPup with a one-time donation that will be used to support some of our students for the entire study period or the remaining study period. The donation of the Johanna Donk–Grote Foundation guarantees full sponsorship of these students, or sponsorship of the remaining study costs when the fundraising of a student’s buddy is not sufficient for the full study costs.
Isala Wereldbreed, the fund of Isala clinics, is a fund supporting employees of Isala working on projects in developing countries. Since April 2020, Isala Wereldbreed is a partner of iSTEPup. Isala Wereldbreed will sponsor student Angelina Mintah for the remaining study period of 5 years, by means of an annual donation.
Medpacker is an organisation that supplies surplus medical inventory via students and medical professionals from the Netherlands who travel abroad for a medical internship or job. If needed, Medpacker will provide a small medical inventory to students who will be enrolled in our programme.
Together, we have developed a flyer to promote our organisations among medical students and medical professionals who travel abroad. We hope students will spread the word and look for potential students to sign up for an iSTEPup scholarship for tertiary education.
The iSTEPup board would like to give special thanks to:
The church in Nijbroek (the Netherlands) supports iSTEPup with a bi-monthly collection during the church service (2019-2021).
Lint Notarissen (Lekkerkerk, The Netherlands) supported us during the establishment of the iSTEPup foundation, with official documents and statutes (2018).
The local initiative OPA (Waste Paper Recycling, Hardenberg, the Netherlands) is stimulating the recycling process of waste paper. They donated the money generated through recycling, €1000, to iSTEPup (2018).
