Why I need the iSTEPup Foundation
It would not be possible for me to achieve my dream without the help of iSTEPup. It would have been impossible. I am coming from a family of 8 were I am the fourth born. My mother is the house wife and father is the local farmer. For example during my secondary education he managed to pay school fees by selling his produce but it was very difficulty to pay all school fees. Now the new transition in my life of becoming a clinical medicine have permit me to find a good job to be able to take care of myself, my family, my community, my country. Also I have a youngest sisters who have poor studying condition need my help in terms of paying school fees. The other fact is that, college, especially medical college in Tanzania is very expensive, so I wouldn’t be able to pay my own fees. To facilitate myself through college, I would need more than 6 years to save enough money to sustain myself through college. Thank you so much for your help.

I got to know Martiniusi during the construction of the school in the Kagera region. He volunteered from the very beginning: present every day, hardworking, friendly, and always willing to learn. He is the son of the family I stayed with, a warm farming family that is struggling financially. They live simply from what the land provides and are unable to pay Martiniusi’s school fees.
What immediately stood out to me about Martiniusi is his discipline and perseverance. Despite limited resources, he has taught himself English well and speaks with confidence and respect. He also served in the army for several months, where he developed a strong sense of discipline and responsibility.
His dream is to become a Clinical Officer so that he can help others and provide his family with a better future. He is intelligent, eager to learn, and has the right mindset to succeed. I believe that, with support from the iSTEPup foundation, he can truly achieve his dream and make a meaningful difference in his community.
