Why I need the iSTEPup Foundation

I am paschal makungu manyilizu from Kwimba, Mwanza, Tanzania aged 27 years old, I'm  sixth kid from a family of six childrens and I'm  the one only with a professional while my fellow family members ended at primary schools and secondary schools. I graduated a two years course for basic certificate in nursing and midwifery at September 2018 at sumve school of nursing and midwifery found at kwimba district in mwaza region and to become enrolled Nurse. being a nurse and midwife it was my dream since childhood although I'm from poor family and i will like to congraduated my parents for their efforts on supporting my dream by selling crops from agricultural activities and selling shamba so that i reach my dream and a help from the parent's friends who makes me to become a Nurse.

But 7 years ago I'm not employed until now I'm volunteering at Kagondo Hospital located at muleba in kagera region found in Tanzania in theatre department as a Nurse Anesthetist.  I'm a self dedicated and motivated nurse on caring patients for pre operative, intra operative and post operative patients.

I applied for the scholarship for one year course (upgrading)diploma in nursing and midwifery so that to have higher knowledge and skills on managing patients as a nurse also to have more opportunities on higher level of education as well as employment.

Buddy

Pam Jansen, medical doctor.

I had the pleasure of working with Paschal during my one-year work at Kagondo Hospital on the pediatric and neonatal ward. He has been an great colleague to work with.

Paschal is highly skilled: whenever I struggled with a neonatal cannulation, I could always rely on him, and he consistently succeeded. He is also extremely dedicated and motivated. For example, when we had a patient who required regular dressings, he always showed up without hesitation, even outside of regular working hours and during weekends, to ensure the patient received proper care.

Beyond his clinical skills, Paschal knows how to comfort and reassure children before surgical procedures, which makes a big difference in their experience of care. His professionalism, reliability, and compassion have made him an invaluable colleague.

I am confident that supporting Paschal in further studies is an excellent decision. He has both the skills and the motivation to continue developing, and I believe he will make a significant contribution to healthcare in the future. Paschal is not only an amazing colleague, but also a genuine and kind person.

Thank you for contributing to his educational journey.
